DriverOpenDoor (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a fleet driver retention platform that sends weekly anonymous SMS surveys to commercial truck drivers on behalf of their employers (“fleet companies”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a driver who receives our messages.
When you receive and respond to a DriverOpenDoor SMS survey, we may collect:
We do not store your raw IP address. It is immediately converted using a one-way cryptographic hash and cannot be reversed or traced back to you.
Your name and phone number are stored only by your employer (the fleet company) and are never included in any feedback record. We cannot link any feedback response to a specific driver unless you explicitly check “Reveal my identity” on the feedback form.
We do not use your data for marketing purposes. We do not sell your data. We do not share your individual responses with any third party. Feedback data is shared only with your employer in aggregate form, and only for the purpose of improving driver retention and working conditions.
DriverOpenDoor sends SMS messages on behalf of your employer. By receiving these messages, you acknowledge that your employer has enrolled your phone number in this program as part of your employment relationship.
Anonymized feedback records are retained for the duration of your employer's subscription to DriverOpenDoor. Upon termination of the employer's account, all associated data is deleted within 30 days. Location data is used only in aggregate form and is never stored at the individual level.
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level database security, and server-side-only access to sensitive fields such as phone numbers. No phone numbers are ever transmitted to the browser or exposed in API responses.
